FISHING REPORT

Fishing Report  Updated July 30, 2010

Eufaula:    Elevation 2 ft. above normal, water 84 and clear in the east and murky in the west. Largemouth bass fair on Carolina-rigged plastic baits around deeper points. White bass good on crankbaits trolling points and shallow flats early and late. Blue catfish slow. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 8-20 ft. around bridges and standing timber. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County (current lake level) (hydropower release schedule) .

Ft. Gibson:   Elevation 3 1/2 ft. above normal, water 86 and stained. Largemouth bass fair on buzzbaits and spinnerbaits early and late. Catfish fair on juglines with cut bait and night crawlers. Crappie slow on minnows and jigs under docks and deep brush. White bass fair on rooster tails and small crankbaits while surfacing. Report submitted by Rick Stafford in Wagoner.

Grand: Elevation normal, water 90 and clear. Largemouth bass good on red worms, red jigs and deep running crankbaits. White bass excellent on slab spoons, rooster tails, grubs and minnows around islands and bridges. Channel, blue and flathead catfish good on nitro worms, shad, shrimp and minnows at 15-20 ft. Crappie good to excellent on minnows and chartreuse jigs at 8-10 ft. around brush piles. Sunfish and bluegill good on crickets and worms. Paddlefish slow. Greenleaf:   Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits and jig and worm in creek channels, around rocky points and brush structure. Catfish good on fresh cut bait on bottom near the spillway and in creek channels. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush structure and fishing docks. Keystone
:    All fishing fair. Catfish excellent on secret seven dip bait, goldfish, shad and juglines. White bass excellent on rooster tails and minnows. Report submitted by Woody’s Bait and Tackle 2. 

Konawa:    Elevation normal, water 95 and clear. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures and crankbaits at 5-10 ft. in coves around schooling bass early and late. Channel catfish good on shad and stinkbait at 10-12 ft. around points. All other fishing slow. Report by Daryl Howser, game warden stationed in Seminole County.

Lower Illinois:   Elevation normal, water 52 and clear. Largemouth bass good on topwater lures all along the river. White bass fair on jigs at 1-3 ft. all along the river. Striped bass good on shad at 1-2 ft. below Gore Landing. Channel catfish excellent on cut bait on bottom all along the river. Crappie fair on jigs and spinnerbaits at 1-3 ft. all along the river. Trout excellent fly fishing the surface, on rooster tails at 1-3 ft. and on power bait on bottom above Gore Landing.  

Robert S. Kerr:   Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water 87 and murky. Largemouth bass slow. White bass slow. Channel catfish slow. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around submerged brush piles. Report submitted by Leland Sockey, game warden stationed in Haskell County.

Tenkiller:    Elevation 2 3/4 ft. above normal, water 89 and clear. Catfish fair on juglines at 20 ft. and on minnows and sunfish. Sunfish good on night crawlers around docks and along gravel shorelines. Report submitted by Monte Brooks, Cookson Village Resort. For more information about Lake Tenkiller. 

Texoma:   Elevation 1 ft. above normal and generating on both units, water 86 and murky. Largemouth and smallmouth bass on plastic combination bait and deep diving crankbaits and some surface lures good at 5-15 ft. in creek channels and around riprap. Striped and white bass good on live bait, sassy shad, and some surface lures 5-25 ft. from Platter Flats to the south and west. Channel and blue catfish good on live bait, worms and stinkbait at 5-15 ft. Crappie fair to good on minnows at 5-15 ft. around the fish attractors. All fishing is slow below the dam. Webbers Falls:  
 .Elevation 3 ft. above normal, water murky. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits around brush, creek channels and riprap. Catfish good on stinkbaits and fresh cut bait along mudflats.
